Together we can create a plan for event photography that meets your wishes and your budget. For weddings, I can provide unlimited all-day coverage, starting with preparations in the morning, ending when the reception hall is empty, for $3500. Or I can, for $2200, cover mainly the public events of the day, from shortly before the ceremony onwards. At $2700, you may find a happy medium. Either way, your images will be custom processed. At no additional cost you will receive a high-resolution DVD of these images, along with a letter licensing you to print from it for personal use.
We can easily tailor the package further if you’re looking for coverage that is more elaborate, or more streamlined. I am happy to travel to your site–at any distance. Within a hundred-mile radius, I won’t charge for mileage. At larger weddings, it’s often a good idea for me to engage an associate photographer.
Optionally, you can commission a printed book of your photographs, either an elegantly printed and bound album, or a magazine-style coffee-table book. You don’t need to decide on print options in advance, but, given the uncertain lifespan of digital media, I do recommend that you promptly arrange for archival-quality hard copies of your images, to be stored in more than one location, and that you make fresh copies of your digital recordings annually. We still have original prehistoric cave paintings, but we don’t always have uncorrupted versions of digital files made a few years ago!
My portrait sessions are often explorations. Mainly, I’ll photograph you, solo or in a couple, or perhaps your children, or the whole family–in action. Only at times, and only secondarily, is it about assuming positions and holding them. We may visit various spots together, or you may go about your activities, and I’ll follow. Or your group may interact, while I catch the motions and expressions. You’ll view some dozens of proofs online, and they’ll be quite varied. Pricing for a roughly two-hour session is $300 and includes $100 worth of credit toward the purchase of prints or an album.
Weddings, family groups, and portraiture have taken center stage for me, but I am available for every sort of gathering: commitment ceremony, religious coming-of-age ceremony, same-sex wedding, secular celebration, work project, theater event, educational project, you name it. As well, I will accept a limited number of pro bono assignments for the benefit of nonprofit organizations.
