Lauren and John were married in an emotional ceremony at the Immaculate Conception Church in Ithaca, New York. They and their guests then enjoyed a reception at Dano’s on Seneca.

On a recent trip to California — the Bay Area and Big Sur — I shot these landscapes. A good landscape is always a terrific backdrop for a portrait, though I didn’t have any brides or grooms on hand to prove my point at the time. But just imagine!
This bride and groom were married in the Memorial room of Willard Straight Hall at Cornell University, their alma mater. The reception took place at the Statler Hotel nearby on campus.
This couple, deeply committed to doing their part to preserve this earth, planned a wedding that wasted little yet still was elegant. Attendants did not wear one-use garments, reception food and table decor were sustainable, and so on. The fitting venue was the New York Botanical Garden.
